About Mira Vista Country Club

Mira Vista Country Club Hole 18Mira Vista Country Club returns as the host venue of the Kathy Whitworth Invitational in 2027 following a comprehensive golf course renovation led by architect Andy Staples. Originally designed by renowned golf professional Tom Weiskopf and golf course architect Jay Morrish in 1987, the course is recognized for its dramatic elevation changes, scenic valley holes, and strategic risk-reward design.

The renovation, completed in 2026, included the reconstruction of every green, bunker, and tee, along with widened fairways, new turfgrass throughout the course, and a state-of-the-art irrigation system. The project carefully preserved the strategic character of Weiskopf and Morrish’s original design while enhancing course conditions, playability, and championship presentation.

Located in southwest Fort Worth, Mira Vista offers a unique test of golf rarely found in North Texas. Rolling terrain, intermittent stream channels, and thoughtfully designed shot values challenge players to balance strategy and execution throughout the round. Combined with outstanding practice facilities and a first-class club environment, Mira Vista provides an exceptional setting for one of the nation’s premier junior girls golf championships.
