We are thrilled to announce the 26th playing of the Kathy Whitworth Invitational is scheduled for March 9-11, 2025. This prestigious junior girls golf tournament will take place at The Lakes at Castle Hills in Lewisville, Texas.

The Kathy Whitworth Invitational, founded in 1999, brings together 72 of the world’s best junior girl golfers to compete in this highly prestigious invitational.

This year marks a significant change as we temporarily relocate the tournament to The Lakes at Castle Hills. For the past 25 years, Mira Vista Country Club in Fort Worth has been home to the KWI. However, due to an exciting total renovation of Mira Vista, this championship is moving just down the road to Lewisville, Texas.

The Lakes at Castle Hills features MiniVerde greens, premium Arkansas white crushed quartz bunker sand, and 419 Bermuda grass fairways and roughs. No stranger to hosting championships, the Lakes at Castle Hills has hosted a variety of events, including many PGA, state and regional tournaments.

Throughout its history, the Kathy Whitworth Invitational has been more than just a competition. It has embodied the ideals of the USGA, promoting a love of the game while fostering confidence, character, leadership, sportsmanship, and responsibility among its participants. Additionally, the tournament continues to benefit local charities, supporting our community and giving back in meaningful ways.

Tournament entry acceptance is based on playing ability and merit. Many KWI alumni have been invited to play in the Augusta Women’s National Championship, Jr. Solheim Cup Teams, Solheim Cup Teams, Curtis Cup Teams and have their LPGA Tour cards.

The application process will open Friday, September 13, 2024 and will close December 31, 2024.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Lakes at Castle Hills this March for what promises to be another incredible chapter in the history of the Kathy Whitworth Invitational.
