the website for the Kathy Whitworth Invitational to be held at Mira
Vista Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. This site will serve as your
source for all tournament information. The Kathy Whitworth Invitational benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Fort Worth, an organization serving more than 9,000 disadvantaged youth each year.
The
Kathy Whitworth Invitational Junior Girls Championship is included in
and recognized by the AJGA Polo Golf Rankings. Players earn
points for the Polo Golf Rankings based on the strength of field and
their finish in the Kathy Whitworth Invitational Junior Girls
Championship. The AJGA is going to recognize the Kathy
Whitworth Invitational Junior Girls Championship in their
Performance Based Entry (PBE) system:
Top 3: Fully Exempt
Top 5: 3 Tournament Exemptions
Top 10: 2 Tournament Exemptions
Top 15: 1 Tournament Exemption

Kathy Whitworth has 88 career wins, which is an
all-time record for both men's and women's U.S. Tours. Ms. Whitworth
was the LPGA Player of the Year seven times and has won six majors. She
was the Associated Press Athlete of the Year in 1965 and 1967 and was
inducted into the LPGA's Hall of Fame in 1975.
Ms. Whitworth has graciously given her time and name to ensure the
success of this tournament that benefits so many. She
continues to inspire golfers of all ages through her dedication to the
sport. |
